The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Kawneer is dedicated to developing products and systems that help comply with LEED standards, and promote integrated, whole-building design practices.

As part of that commitment, Kawneer is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the non–profit group that developed LEED and works to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible and profitable. Kawneer's Architectural Services Team (AST) is available to assist with the LEED Certification process.
