1980 Paneline® Entrance The Kawneer Paneline Entrance was the first truly concealed panic device integrated into a door design. The entrance offered improved security and contemporary styling which compliments the overall entrance design. |

1980 Barrier Free Entrances Developed and offered a full 12 years before the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1992, this was the first entrance system to designed specifically to meet the needs of the handicapped. Several of the innovations included: no thresholds in the openings, extra length in door pulls, hand accuated automatic door openers and force reduction mechanisms for closers to assist with door opening. |
