Architectural Product Engineer
As an Architectural Product Engineer, Christopher (Chris) Lipp works in the New Product Development arm of the Kawneer Engineering Group. His core responsibilities include engineering new product designs, updating and maintaining the existing engineering database and testing new products in the lab. Chris joined Kawneer in early 2010.
Prior to joining Kawneer, Chris worked at Wiss, Janney, Elstner & Associates, a leading consultant in building envelopes. His major job responsibilities consisted of investigating, testing and designing repairs for building envelope deficiencies in all types of structures. During this time Chris was able to gain invaluable industry insight, which would help drive future projects and give him the expertise that has made him so valuable to Kawneer.
Chris graduated from the University of Florida cum laude in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He has achieved his Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification and plans to earn his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate certification shortly.
Originally from Sarasota, Florida, Chris currently resides in Woodstock, Georgia with his wife Sarah and two children: a newborn son, James; and a one-year-old daughter, Riley. In his spare time (rare with two babies at home) Chris enjoys soccer, hiking and golf.
