Product Manager, Storefront, Entrance and Framing

Currently serving as Product Manager, Storefront, Entrance and Framing, Donnie Hunter is responsible for developing the product roadmap, managing new product projects, and prioritizing maintenance decisions relative to his product range. Prior to assuming his new role, Donnie worked as Kawneer’s Product Manager, Protective Glazing Products for five years where he was responsible for ensuring products meet performance requirements for windborne debris (hurricane impact) protection and blast mitigation. This included the coordination of design modifications, establishing testing programs, executing testing plan/requirements and working with marketing communications to ensure Protective Glazing Products are visible to both designers and customers.

 

Over the course of his nearly 26-year career with Kawneer, Donnie has held a variety of positions that have provided him with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the industry. After joining the company in 1983 as a sales representative for the Pensacola, Florida territory, Donnie went on to hold various roles in sales throughout Florida and was the recipient of the Rookie Sales of the Year award in 1984.

 

In 2001 Donnie joined Kawneer’s Architectural Services Team where he was responsible for providing architects with product application and technical assistance. He made the leap into product management in 2003 where he first worked as the Product Team Leader for Hurricane Resistant Products, later shifting to his role as Product Manager, Protective Glazing Products, and most recently, Product Manager, Storefront, Entrance and Framing.

 

A Georgia native, Donnie enjoys spending time outdoors boating, water skiing, playing tennis and motocross racing. He is a member of CSI, ASTM and AAMA. Donnie is a graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University where he received his Bachelors in Architectural Engineering.
