NORCROSS, GA -- Kawneer Company, Inc., the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum building products and systems for commercial construction, today announced its new AA®3350 ISOPORT® Window, designed to enhance the views and energy efficiency of any commercial application, as well as educational, healthcare and public buildings. Available in single-hung, double-hung or fixed with an innovative polyamide thermal break design and factory glazing, the AA®3350 ISOPORT® Window is highly versatile, leading the way in thermal performance at a competitive price.
Architects and glazing contractors are asked to deliver buildings with unmatched performance and unrivaled results. Kawneer’s AA®3350 ISOPORT® Window combines distinctive features, superior aesthetics and simplified fabrication and installation to provide architects and glaziers with a product that meets their needs and more. The unique shape of the polyamide thermal break enhances the performance of the window by maintaining the continuity of the thermal break throughout the window frame and sash. Adding to the energy efficiency of the window is 1-inch insulating or laminated glass, which provides high thermal performance and enhances STC and OITC (sound resistance) performance. AA®3350 ISOPORT® Window features powder coated die-cast sweep locks and keepers for maximum security at the meeting rails and a push-button feature on sweep locks helps increase safety by preventing windows from being opened accidentally or unintentionally. In addition, an integrated locking system automatically secures the operable sash when closed, preventing upper sash drift on double-hung windows. AA®3350 ISOPORT® Window has been tested to meet North American performance standards, including thermal transmittance, condensation resistance, condensation temperature index and sound transmission, and multiple sill heights are available to meet both 10 pound (CW) and 15 pound (AW) psf water performance requirements.
For enhanced quality control and reduced customer labor costs at the job site, AA®3350 ISOPORT® Window is factory assembled and glazed. Factory silicone glazing improves window quality and performance while eliminating the time investment and costs of field glazing. Removable stops ensure easy re-glazing with no disassembly required. Multiple installation options, designed to accommodate a variety of installation methods, include a frame flange/nailing fin, strap anchors and receptor system.
To provide superior aesthetics to any project, the AA®3350 ISOPORT® Window’s integrated extruded lift rails eliminate the need for surface-applied hardware, making sight lines sleek and appealing. Muntin grids enclosed in 1-inch insulating glass provide a traditional design option that is virtually maintenance-free. The 3-1/2-inch frame depth results in a narrower interior to exterior transition and the window also provides the minimum overall window depth to achieve structural performance and accommodate 1-inch infills.
Finish options for AA®3350 ISOPORT® Window include anodized, fluorpolymer and solvent-free powder coat painted in a variety of colors. A dual color finish option is also available providing the flexibility to vary interior and exterior finishes and reduce overall system cost.
