Kawneer is dedicated to creating products and systems that help comply with BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) standards and promote integrated, whole-building design practices. We continuously review the environmental impacts of our products to ensure the design life, quality, environmental impact and sustainability of our products set industry standards. The life cycle of aluminium is 50 years, significantly higher than other construction materials.

Used at Mundy School in Derbyshire, Kawneer's AA®4001 Framing system, for example, is manufactured from aluminium sections which are 100% recyclable, with 70% of the aluminium used in the system having been reclaimed, retaining 95% of the initial energy invested.
