Kawneer Appoints New Training Manager

Leading architectural aluminium systems supplier Kawneer has appointed Gary Ledger to the position of training manager.
During his career Gary has gained a wealth of experience in system design and testing as well as providing support to customers on and off-site.
His role as training manager is to design and deliver training in fabrication, installation, curtain wall design, contract supervision, product knowledge and product awareness. The courses that Kawneer provide are certified by the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT) and Gary will sit on the CWCT training committee.
Gary, 39, has a BTEC HNC in Mechanical Engineering and City & Guilds in CAD Management. Prior to being a technical support engineer he was a design engineer in Kawneer’s new product development team. A qualified ISO 9001/2000 auditor, he is also fully trained to carry out health and safety workplace inspections and risk assessments.
Gary said of his appointment: “The role of training in today’s workplace has never been more vital, not just in meeting regulatory requirements but in ensuring that projects are delivered right first time at planned cost. Our customers (specialist contractors, main contractors or architects) require systems that over-deliver in terms of design, performance and aesthetics.”
