The horizontal and modular nature of the façade pattern created for Mile Square Health Center, the first federally qualified health center in Chicago to offer urgent care and specialty care under one roof, was planned to allow flexibility for locating windows where desired or needed for views and natural light in response to future building programs. The bold look of the façade was designed to communicate the energy of the city, and the ideas of movement, progress and technology.
