As Canada’s foremost human genome research center, the Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research (TDCCBR) needed to aid in the recruitment of top scientists and aimed to create an environment that fostered collaboration and interdisciplinary research.
The fully glazed, 248,378-square-foot facility resembles a glass box with a soaring glass atrium, lush interior gardens and an overall impression of light and transparency. The facility was constructed with unitized curtain wall and each elevation of the “box” features a unique design and custom glazing elements, from a double-skinned curtain wall to a spot-colored façade glazed to mimic the pattern of DNA code.Full Project Details
